The Tampa Bay Water Ski Show Team is a non-profit organization that participates in the sport of show skiing. We are a TEAM. We encourage family involvement with an emphasis on the youth of the community, promoting physical fitness, character building and goal setting. We encourage involvement and commitment (and this may not always include skiing). As part of the TEAM, our young members learn responsibility, dedication, teamwork and leadership. Our purpose as defined in our Bylaws is…”to promote boating and water sports safety, through education and participation in group water skiing and theatrical water skiing performances.”
Team Membership Fees and Costs
Membership dues are $100.00 per year per team member ($50.00 for a non-skiing team member).

Tournaments and Shows
The Tampa Bay Water Ski Show Team participates yearly in the Southern Regional Show Ski Championships, typically held in June. The tournament is scored based on various elements, including difficulty and skill level. All team members must earn their spot and be able to perform at the level identified by the Show Director in order to be part of the competition show.
The team performs various paid shows throughout the year. Participation in these shows is always encouraged, but performing skiers are selected at the discretion of the Show Director, based on skill level and show conditions.
Team Volunteers
Volunteers are the heart of any organization and we enlist the aid of all parents and support people (generally non-skiers). The areas of need include Parking, Concessions, Marketing, Merchandise, Costumes, Show Staging and Production, Fundraising, Special Events and Team Events. The team volunteers work with the Board of Directors in fundraising events, site activities and general team spirit!
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is made up of 7 members who serve for a one-year term. The Board is responsible for the direction and management of the team. Meetings are held once a month and are open to the general membership.
